This young woman came to me very humbly admitting she had been Krazy Gluing her metal front Maryland Bridges back in for at least the last 12 years and at this point they would no longer stay glued in. Angie was assured that she was not alone. A complete comprehensive exam was performed and it was determined that the damage to her gum tissue was still reversible. It was also discovered that Angie had congenitally missing lateral incisors and; as a young adult, had been treated with orthodontics (braces). Technology has changed a lot since then and today's choices were more conservative. We agreed that she be evaluated by a periodontist for two dental implants. Angie's options were further complicated by the location of her adjacent teeth roots and she would have to go back into orthodontics for up to 24 months. Angie admittedly refused "no braces for me!" As an alternative, we agreed to place two, three unit front tooth bridges. "I am so very happy with my result".
